Our Story
The Haleh Story Some places are more than just somewhere to eat they become part of the fabric of a neighbourhood. Haleh Pastry & Cafe was one of those places. For over 30 years, our founder Mrs. Haleh built something truly special: a warm, welcoming café where the smell of fresh bread filled the air, regulars were greeted by name, and every pastry was made with the kind of care that only comes from decades of devotion to the craft. Then, like so many beloved small businesses, Haleh faced its greatest challenge. When COVID-19 forced the café to close its doors, the community felt the loss deeply. The counters went quiet. The ovens went cold. But the memory of what Haleh had built never faded. After two years, a new chapter began. Hoda and her team stepped in not to replace what was there, but to honor it. They brought back the same name, the same spirit, and most meaningfully, the same original bakers who had been there from the beginning. The recipes didn't change. The warmth didn't change. What changed was simply that the doors were open again. Haleh Pastry & Cafe is back and it's home.
